About me

I am an ex-investment banker (at the Associate and Vice President levels) having worked at both a large and small (boutique) investment bank.  I started my banking career focused mainly on restructuring transactions (advising distressed/bankrupt companies) and then moved into Mergers and Acquisitions.  I have helped execute U.S. and cross-border transactions in a variety of industries.  I have also been heavily involved in recruiting and interviewing prospective analysts and associates.

I am also the founder and senior instructor of the Institute for Finance in New York. The classes that I teach are mostly geared towards individuals trying to get jobs in investment banking.  We focus both on the technical aspects of banking and finance (valuation and financial modeling) as well as the job search and recruiting process, resumes and interviewing.  It is my experience teaching these courses that has prompted me to create this website.
